ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF...

Well, I suppose I'd better start by introducing myself! Hi! I'm Jo, an NHS worker and DIY enthusiast based in the North West of England, and I am delighted to be able to say that I am now also a first time home owner!

I moved into my lovely new home on Friday the 21st July this year, but as lovely as it is, it needs a bucket load of TLC. Nothing too major, only a little bit of building work, but a hell of a lot of updating and decorating, and that's where this blog comes in!

Admittedly, I am not new to the blogging world. I think I was 20 when I created a beauty and lifestyle blog (which is way too cringey to give you the link to, sorry not sorry). It lasted about 2 years on and off, but my heart really wasn't in it, and basically I couldn't be arsed.

But this blog is different. How do I know it's different? I am trying to be an adult now. I obsess over my new home. It's all I think about; what I'm going to do next, how I can improve my ideas...my friends must be sick to death of me rambling on about my ceiling woes (all will be revealed) and what bloody colour to do the living room. I'm boring myself just thinking about it.

I'm determined to make this house as Pinterest-worthy as I possibly can, whilst losing as few friends as possible along the way, so this blog is going to be an outlet for documenting my journey to people that (might) actually give one, whilst serving as a personal reminder of just how far I have come, and just how bloomin' worth it it is!

Aside from all this house decorating malarkey, I also love a good root around at the local car boot sales, charity shops, on Gumtree and so on, and love to find old, battered goods to give a new lease of life to. Everything I do with the house will naturally be on a budget, so alongside the standard interior and DIY posts, you can expect to see plenty of upcycling and general bargains along the way.

Enjoy!
